With the continuous adjustment and upgrading of the surface treatment industrial structure, the scale of China's surface treatment parks continues to expand, and the technological achievements in the manufacturing field accelerate the breakthrough application, not only to promote high-tech to take a key step of "from catch-up to lead", but also to inject new momentum into the quality and efficiency of the industry and high-quality economic development, surface treatment has become one of the indispensable focuses of the manufacturing industry.
In recent years, Nantong has been developing intelligent manufacturing as a key industry in the "3+3+N" industrial system, and has a certain foundation in the surface treatment, intelligent environmental protection, spraying and coating robots and core components and other industries. The overall level of intelligent manufacturing is in the leading square in the province, and more than 50% of industrial enterprises are in the "two" integration and innovation stage. Enterprises have greater demand for intelligent and high-end equipment procurement. Nantong is gradually realizing the extension and expansion of the manufacturing industry to the direction of intelligent, high-end, cluster and green, providing strong support for accelerating the construction of an internationally competitive advanced manufacturing base in the north wing of the Yangtze River Delta.
In 2023, the output value of the equipment manufacturing industry above designated size in Nantong increased by 10.2% over the previous year, accounting for 49.1% of the total output value of the industrial industry above designated size. Among them, the output value of transportation equipment manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing and other industries maintained a rapid growth trend during the year, increasing by 51.9% and 15.5% respectively. The output of chemical fibers, paper products, civilian steel ships, semiconductor discrete devices and other major products increased by 53.9%, 36.4%, 31.9% and 19.6%, respectively. The operating income of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.1% over the previous year; Total profit grew by 0.2%, 3.3 percentage points higher than the previous year. The profit margin of enterprise operating income was 5.9%, down 0.3 percentage points from the previous year. The output and sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size is 95.8%.
